A Chilled Morning in Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens

They had the chillest morning getting ready, then tied the knot in Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens – one of my absolute favourite venues.

I love this place so much that one of my wedding photography packages is actually named after it. The gardens are just stunning, and they photograph beautifully in every season.

And here’s the thing: the venue’s iconic resident cat even made a surprise cameo. Guest list officially upgraded. 🐈‍⬛

This is what I love about Sheffield venues. They’ve got character, they’ve got personality, and sometimes they’ve got resident cats who decide to photobomb your wedding.

From Gardens to Industrial Party at Alder

Then we headed to Alder in Kelham Island for an industrial-style party that I’m still thinking about.

Fire breathers. Morris dancers. Circus performers. Giant bubbles. Rainbow wall photo ops. And a Greggs drop of vegan sausage rolls.

I mean, come on. This wasn’t just a wedding reception – this was a full-on festival celebrating Kirsty and Nic’s love.

Storming a Teacup Circus brought the performers, and they absolutely made the day. The energy, the chaos, the pure joy of it all – it was brilliant.

Sax Solos and Serious Dancefloor Energy

Sarah Sax Player provided sax solos that had everyone moving. Heartfelt speeches that had people laughing and crying. Vintage buses. Serious dancefloor energy that didn’t stop all night.

The whole day was love, chaos, and pure joy wrapped into one incredible celebration.

Ashley Jordan J made sure Kirsty looked absolutely stunning. Big Sister Events coordinated the whole thing beautifully, keeping everything running smoothly while maintaining that relaxed, fun vibe.

When Couples Do It Their Way

This is what I love about weddings. When couples do it their way, when they bring their personality into every single detail, when they’re not afraid to be different.

That’s when the magic happens.

Kirsty and Nic didn’t try to fit into anyone else’s idea of what a wedding should be. They created something completely unique, completely them, and it was absolutely unforgettable.
